Fast Tracked Approval Pathway

Complying Development Certificate

A Complying Development Certificate combines the functions of both a development consent and a construction certificate in a singular form; it’s invaluable for fast-tracking the approval process! This can be issued for one and two storey homes, renovation projects, pools, sheds, carports, as well as a host of other development types.

In order for the Complying Development Certificate to be approved, the project must adhere to the relevant development standards set out in the Housing Code under the State Environmental Planning Policy (Exempt and Complying Development Codes) 2008.

Before you’re able to undertake any building project, you must first apply for a Construction Certificate. This certificate, which can only be issued by a Registered Certifier or local council, confirms that the construction plans and engineering specifications adhere to the requirements of the Development Consent and all other legal parameters.
